Meet The Team

Dr. Eimiel Garriga

Dr. Garriga completed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida, then attended Ross University for veterinary school. He graduated from Ross University in 2004. His interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and therapeutic laser therapy. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Morgan Vargo

Dr. Morgan Vargo has been an associate veterinarian at our practice since her graduation from veterinary school in 2011. She attended University of South Florida for her undergraduate degree in Biology, then attended University of Florida for Veterinary School. Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Vargo served as a veterinary assistant with our practice beginning in 2003, but always planned to attend veterinary school, as being a veterinarian has been a lifelong passion.

Dr. Vargo originally wanted to be a veterinarian because she loved the idea of working with animals, but since becoming a veterinarian she has also discovered she loves helping and teaching people. She finds great job satisfaction in figuring out medical puzzles and helping people work out the optimal treatment protocol for their pets and their personal needs. Her primary interests inside veterinary medicine include internal medicine, chronic disease management and pain management. To this end, Dr. Vargo is also a certified veterinary acupuncturist.

Outside of the office, Dr. Vargo enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She has 2 dogs at home, an elderly black lab named Firefly and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Dax. In her free time, she is a competitive distance runner and is active in her church.


Practice Manager

Alanna joined our team in August of 2018. She has worked in the veterinary field for 23 years. She is currently studying to achieve the CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) Credentials. Which has been a goal of hers for many years. In her free time she enjoys exploring the Florida beaches with her husband and two children or having a quiet day relaxing poolside with their fur babies. She has a yorkie named Rio and three German Shepherd siblings Ace, Bitty and Bella. Alanna's goal as the practice manager is to maintain a positive culture, where staff, clients and their beloved pets feel like family.


Inventory Manager, Receptionist

Michaela is from Charleston, South Carolina. She has been in the veterinary industry since 2015 and joined our team in 2018. Michaela decided to work in this field to help pet owners understand the needs of their beloved pets and she could not imagine working in any other field. She hopes to start school in 2022 to pursue her goal of becoming a Veterinarian. She has one fur baby; a pit mix named Penelope. Penelope loves getting into everything that she shouldn’t. For fun Michaela likes to spend her time trying new restaurants with her family.


Veterinary Technician/Surgical Technician

Claudia, a graduate of HCC’s Veterinary Technology program was born in Chicago, IL. She moved to Fl in 2001 and has been here ever since. Claudia joined our team in 2017. She loves reading horror and fantasy novels, playing video games and riding her motorcycle. Claudia always grew up with animals and loves helping our clients provide the best medical care to their pets.


Veterinary Technician/Surgical Technician

Andrea is an Army Medic Veteran with the National Guard, while serving our country she also worked in the veterinary field for 7 years. She is currently enrolled in college and is seeking a degree in Biotechnology. She has a busy household with 3 dogs (Jake, Duke, and Lily), 4 cats ( Blue, DC, Simba, and Midnight), and 4 rabbits (Oreo, Mrs.Peter Rabbit, Tily and Cottontail). Andrea and her family love to spend their free time at the Disney theme parks. 


Veterinary Technician Assistant

Dana graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology and has been working in the veterinary field for 9 years. She started with us in July of 2020. Her Boxer Jax is what inspired her to get into Veterinary Medicine. He had two torn ligaments in his knees and needed surgery. Once Dana saw his radiographs she was hooked and knew this was the right choice for her. She has a special interest in animal dentistry and hopes to become a Certified Veterinary Technician in the future. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games as well as watching Netflix with her other half. She has a smiling Chihuahua named Syd and three cats Bandit, Harley Quinn and Spike.


Veterinary Technician Assistant

April graduated in 2019 as a Certified Veterinary Assistant and has been working with us part-time since April of 2021. She and her husband own an air-conditioning company in which April also works at to help out her husband when she can. April has 3 cats Khloe, Kilo and Turbo. She adopted Turbo here at Riverview Veterinary Hospital after he was found at a near by business. In her spare time, she likes to find new Taco trucks to eat at, watch scary movies, and hang out with her husband and daughter. April says “I have always had a passion for animals since I was a little girl and that animals bring joy into my life, as I hope I do theirs.”



Ramona started with our hospital in April of 2021. She has worked in the veterinary field as a receptionist for 24 years. Romy was born and raised in Germany and she came to the USA in 1996. She lived in Arizona as well as Idaho before calling Florida home.  She has a rescued Whippet mix named Butters and a Whippet named Texas. When Romy is not working, she enjoys going to the beach and exploring Florida. Her favorite things in life are her daughter, her dogs, her family and traveling. 



Sara joined our team in Oct of 2021 as a receptionist. She loves animals and has wanted to work with them since she was a child. Sara and her husband Michael have three dogs Delilah a Great Dane, Holly a Pit Bull and Red a sweet mixed breed. Her goals are to learn everything she can about the care and wellbeing of animals so that she may be able to provide the best service to our patients.



Grisel joined our team in May of 2020 and has been in the veterinary field since 2007. She previously worked with the ESOL program for Hillsborough County Schools, helping children learn the English language. Grisel has been married since 1992 and has 2 sons, a daughter-in-law and a grand Corgi named Mia. She loves the beach and traveling in her free time. She realized she would like to work in the Veterinary field after her family's dog became ill with the Parvo virus. Her goal is to learn as much as she can so that she is well equipped to help and support our clients and patients to the best of her ability.
