Dr. Juliana Figueroa
Dr. Juliana Figueroa joined our hospital as a full time DVM in 2022. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she knew as a little girl that her dream was to become a veterinarian. Her first veterinary job was at the age of 16 as a veterinary assistant. She continued to stay in that position for 10 years as she went to the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Figueroa graduated in 2013 earning her Bachelor of Animal Science. After her graduation, she began her veterinary education at Ross University in St. Kitts. She met so many important people in her life and continued to grow in her experience. After Ross, she completed her degree in 2020 at Louisiana State University. During those last clinical years, she developed more interest in urgent and critical care. In 2020, she moved to Tampa to start working as veterinary assistant until she passed her board exams for veterinarian in 2021. During her free time, she enjoys cuddling her corgi mix (Canela), traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
